When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. As you use examone, we also collect the content you create (flashcards, practice tests, study guides, clinical entries) and usage data such as pages visited, features used, and interactions within the app. We may also collect information you optionally provide, such as your nursing program, school, graduation date, and profile photo.

If you choose to connect your Canvas LMS account, we collect your Canvas API token and institution URL solely for the purpose of syncing your course data and grades. Your Canvas token is stored securely and encrypted. It is never shared with third parties and is only used to make authorized API calls on your behalf. You can revoke Canvas access at any time from your Settings page.

We use your information to provide, maintain, and improve examone. This includes personalizing your dashboard, syncing your academic data, generating AI-powered study content, and sending relevant notifications. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to serve third-party advertisements.

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers with strong security practices. Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

examone uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain sessions and improve the user experience. We may use privacy-friendly analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.

examone integrates with select third-party services to provide features such as authentication, AI content generation, and file storage. These services process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We choose partners that meet high standards for data privacy and security.

examone is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data including the right to access, correct, export, or delete your information. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@examone.app. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a notice within the app. Your continued use of examone after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
